It was the first official confirmation of a seventh-generation Corvette.    The press release quoted GM North America President Mark Reuss, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, and United Auto Workers Vice President Joe Ashton, and it noted that some 250 new assembly plant jobs would be created.
