1973 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty
Some cars were just born to be legends. David Newhardt, author of Art of the Muscle Car, shares some of the stats on this gorgeous muscle car. The Trans Am was a tough-looking car, with its Endura front bumper, taut sheet metal, and low, wide stance. Stuff the Super Duty 455 engine under the hood, plaster the "screaming chicken" decal on top of it, fire it up, and go trolling for Corvettes. Pontiac had considerable experience with racing engines, and it brought this knowledge to bear in developing the Super Duty 455. |
