I'm sure Ford fans and the Chrysler crew won't appreciate that phrase, but it seems to me that for the past 60 years the Corvette has not only stood out, but pretty much stood alone as America's sports car. Yes, I know that for a few brief but oh-so-glorious years there was the Shelby Cobra-but the key word there is "was." And yes, I know there is the Dodge... er... SRT Viper. And I know some of you might believe that vehicles such as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, and Dodge Challenger are sports cars. But while they can be very sporty, they are not sports cars. |
